Homestead tax is the tax that you pay if you are an owner/occupant of a home. Non-Homestead tax is the tax you would pay if you not personally occupy it i.e. rent the property out for an investment, etc.

Market value for taxable purposes is usually much lower than the amount you could actually sell the property for. So the taxes on a property for sale will likely be less than the chart indicates.
